One of the modern theories is management theory. Through these theories, the methods for a person to achieve leadership are explained; the personality and action skills of the leader are explained. In particular, the Thirukkural written by Valluvar highlights various elements of leadership qualities that are the basis for the leader's governance. The leadership-related concepts expressed in the Thirukkural are consistent with the concepts of situational leadership theory. The concepts mentioned in Valluvar's Thirukkural, such as the skills required for a leader to work together with his employees and the ability of a leader to make decisions according to the situation, have been examined in this article based on the situational leadership theory. The verses in the chapters of Thirukkural, namely, "Shrukkatthala", "Shrukkatthala", "Valiyarithal", "Kalamaithal", "Itanarital", and "Otratatal", have been taken as the primary data for the study. The descriptive analytical approach and the comparative analytical approach have been used in this study.
